Pairings that work — and ones that don't

Common questions

How many days do you need in Morocco?+

Ten to fourteen days covers Marrakech, Fes, and either desert or coast without rushing. Seven days works for Marrakech and Fes only, or Marrakech and Essaouira.

Do I need a visa for Morocco?+

Many nationalities enter visa-free or apply online — rules depend on your passport. Check consulat.ma; we do not give visa advice.

Is Morocco expensive?+

Mid-range on the ground runs roughly €55 to €75 per person per day excluding flights — strong value versus western Europe but riads and desert camps vary widely.

What is the best month to visit?+

March to May and October to November suit Marrakech and Fes. April to October fits Essaouira and Agadir. Desert camps are best spring and autumn — summer heat is extreme.

Marrakech or Fes first?+

Either works — open-jaw into CMN and out RAK (or reverse) saves backtracking. Train links Marrakech and Fes via Casablanca or direct services.

Costs are research-based estimates, not live prices — verify before booking.
