Town base, boat days
The classic pattern: sleep near the castle or marina, spend one day on a gulet or shared boat, one day on beaches, one evening in the white alleys. You do not need a mega-resort if boats are the point.
Nightlife is real — and loud
Gümüşlük is dinner and sunset. Bodrum town and Gumbet are 02:00 territory in July. Pick your base accordingly — Bitez if you want to sleep.
Castle is the culture fix
Bodrum Castle and the underwater archaeology museum justify half a day. The Mausoleum site is mostly ruins — honest expectations.
